We have strengthened platform security with new two-factor authentication (2FA) methods.
At nBanks, the security of our users and their data is at the core of our priorities. Until now, two-factor authentication (2FA) was possible via email. However, with the aim of further strengthening platform protection and offering greater flexibility, we have made two new authentication methods available:
- Google Authenticator
- Microsoft Authenticator
These methods use authentication applications that generate temporary and unique codes, significantly increasing the level of security against possible unwanted login attempts.
How does it work?
By activating one of the new 2FA methods, it will be necessary, at the time of login, to enter the code generated by the chosen application (Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator), in addition to the email and password. This code is updated every few seconds, making it difficult for any unauthorized person to access, even if they have access to the main credentials.
How to activate?
Activating two-factor authentication is simple and quick:
1. Access the User Menu (top right corner) and go to Settings;
2. In the side menu, select the Security option;
3. Activate the Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) feature;
4. In the dropdown menu, choose the preferred authentication method (Email, Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator).
Who can activate?
The activation of two-factor authentication is managed by the Owner of the company's subscription, i.e., the Account Administrator. It is this administrator who defines whether two-factor authentication will be mandatory for the company's users and which method will be used. In other words, the decision to activate (or enforce) 2FA is not in the hands of each individual user, but rather the account manager. By allowing the Owner to configure this security measure centrally, we ensure the protection of all users of the main account.

- More control by the subscription Owner, who can define the mandatory nature of 2FA for all company users;
- Flexibility in choosing the authentication method, with three options available: Email, Google Authenticator, and Microsoft Authenticator;
- Significant reduction in the risk of unauthorized access, even in case of theft or exposure of credentials;
- Consistent security across the entire company, with the possibility of activating authentication centrally.
