Change in consent renewal frequency

Consent renewal will now be done every 180 days.

Consent renewal will now be done every 180 days.

With the new change in data access permission, the renewal of consent for access to banking data will now be required every 180 days, instead of the previous 90-day frequency. This means that the banking data for each account is kept in nBanks for a period of 180 days, or 90 days, depending on the banking institution.

This update is already in effect for all banking institutions in Portugal. In other countries and non-Portuguese banking institutions present on the nBanks platform, this renewal may still be required every 90 days.

Benefits:

- Less frequent consent renewal, now only required every 180 days instead of 90 days, reducing bureaucracy for users;

- Greater convenience for users, as they do not need to renew access as regularly, saving time and effort;

- For 180 days, nBanks can automatically access authorized banking data, ensuring a smoother and uninterrupted experience;

- Same security, with the same security and privacy standards, with less impact on user experience.

Available for banks in the following geographies: Portugal.
